Details: SUMMARY: Next steps after Lead exceedence DETAILS: Jim called because he felt like he was getting different answers from people in terms of what to do about the lead exceedence in August 2005. They had done a fixture replacement in 2003, but clearly that didnt work. This is the 3rd time they have exceeded. I explained the need for WQPs (temp, pH, alkalinity, calcium, and conductivity) at the source. They had taken a sample at the office, but we discussed re-taking it at the wellhead. After that, Gregg at the county can help them go through the flowcharts in the guidance document to determine which treatment(s) will be appropriate, then they can begin getting that treatment installed. ACTION NEEDED: will take more WQPs and call Gregg.
