Details:	DETAILS: The City of Powers submitted a letter of interest for the SDWRLF program and was ranked highly on the 2006 list (above funding lines) The Citys water system loses approximately 50% of the finished water produced through leaks in the piping throughout the system. The City has developed a project for the replacement of much of the distribution system to eliminate leaks and improve system performance. The City Manager (Ben McMakin) has filed the original letter of interest. However, he has had serious health problems this year and has not been available for the City. When the City was invited to submit an application for the loan, the remaining staff requested that the Circuit Rider provide assistance in completing the necessary application paperwork and help them gather together the other documentation required for the application. Actions Performed: Met with the City to review the applications and funding info that was prepared and discussed the remaining information that was needed for a complete submittal. Completed the final document package and returned the application and compiled attachments to the City for signatures and transmittal to OECCD. ACTION NEEDED: Provide assistance to the City as needed.
