Details:	SUMMARY: Treatment Technique Violation on 11/29/2006 at the Layng/Prather WTP. DETAILS: Ray Pardee called today to report that the electric motor on the lime feed system had a mechanical failure at the Layng/Prather WTP. As a result, the plant exceeded 1 NTU from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. Peak NTU was 1.7. Chlorine residuals were maintained during the event and CTs were met. Plant flow was again reduced and filters were backwashed as much as possible to limit the amount of high NTU water entering the transmission line. Turbidity was back down below 0.3 NTU by 3:30 PM. Ray will add this event into the Tier 2 notice he will be compiling for the event on 11/20. If the monthly sampling shows turbidity greater than 0.3 in 95% of the measurements for November, Ray will also add that language into his Tier 2 notice along with the 11/20 and 11/29 high turbidity events. ACTION NEEDED: Await copy of combined public notice for 11/20, 11/29 and possibly 95% of November measurements greater than 0.3 NTU. Continue to provide assistance as needed.
