Details:	SUMMARY: Mining in watershed = high turbidity DETAILS: Sue received a call from the operator at Oceanside. He was complaining about a mining operation that is happening way up in the watershed and said that it is increasing the turbidity such that he needs to backwash way more frequently. DEQ is looking into whether or not the mining operation is in violation of any water quality rules. I asked about possibility of contamination by metals that the operator wouldnt notice. She said she would look into that aspect, but she didnt think so because it is just a private individual, not a large corporate mine.
