Details: SUMMARY: Positive Route Coliform Sampling - Repeat sampling next week DETAILS: DHS -- DWP notified me this am that Karen had emailed them re a positive sample. I called Karen -- she states the routine sample collected 5/8/07 at the Sodaville School outside tap was TC positive. We discussed the protocol for collecting repeats. The fourth repeat will be collected just post-reservoir. The repeat sampling is delayed because she has to get sample bottles from the lab. I asked her to keep at least four sample bottles on hand in the future.

Karen stated that she was mistakenly told by her staff last night that the sample result was E. coli positive and that she had begun providing users with a boil water advisory. I asked her to retract the boil water notice ASAP and advise users that the system was doing additional testing to confirm the status of the drinking water.

Karen states she will call me as soon as she gets the repeat results ACTION NEEDED: Operator will do four repeat samples early next week and report them to DHS and Linn County.
