Details:	SUMMARY: Reviewed status of water system project. DETAILS: Brad Baird, consulting engineer presented information comparing the proposed well project with the slow sand filter project. Burnett reviewed the regulatory requirements and noted that a new order would be issued by the Division. It was noted that the slow sand filter design has been approved and environmental review completed. About 30 citizens were in attendance and most felt that it did not make sense to continue with the well project because the City does not own the wells, or the property, and the cost is about the same as the SSF. The council voted unanimously with one abstention to proceed with the SSF project. ACTION NEEDED: Brad Baird will meet with the council in the near future to develop a project schedule. Also, the contract with OECDD for the SRF funding will have to be renewed since it has likely expired.
