Details: SUMMARY: Water alert response for Total Coliform. DETAILS: On Aug. 13, 2007, The Quail Valley Park Improvement District water system had a routine test which showed up as positive for Total Coliform. I spoke with Dick Cosgriffe by phone today to inform him of further procedures. He said that today, Aug. 14, 2007, Coffey Labs is preparing to take the repeat samples throughout the system in order to find specifics on why the problem is occurring. This is supposedly a treated system-- it is said to have a chlorine residual at all times. ACTION NEEDED: Four repeat samples must be taken within the system. All samples must be collected in the same day. If one or more of those repeats come back with a positive test result, a Public Notice should be submitted. Then, it is time to discover why the tests are coming back positive, in order to assess and fix those problems. Dick say that they have planned out how to handle this situation, and will check back with our Env. Health Department regarding the test results.
