| Details: | SUMMARY: Violation for failure to report TCR for the 1st quarter DETAILS: The HRCHD contacted David Soman by phone June 4, 2008 to discuss the TCR monitoring violation. In review of the SDWIS database it was determined that the violation was triggered due to late reporting. The coliform sample was collected on march 27, 2008 but results were not received by the state until April 15, 2008, 5 days past the reporting grace period. In review of the historical coliform results in the SDWIS data base for Aubrey Watzek Cascade pacific BSA it is apparent that the PWS typically waits to the end of the monitoring period to collect the sample and report the results. This practice increase the likelihood of late reporting. It was struggling suggested to the DRC that sampling ought to occur at the beginning of the monitoring period to provide buffer time in the event that a problem arises. Additionally, it was conveyed that the HRCHD can facilitate with over sight if it is understood that the PWSs goal is early monitoring. ACTION NEEDED: Coliform sample for the monitoring period has now been entered in the SDWIS. The DRC has been prompted to collect the 2nd quarter sample ASAP. No further action required. | ||
