| Details: | SUMMARY: Alert-toal coliform present DETAILS: Spoke with Jim Stephens of Aqua metrics, he said all four repeat samples taken 1/9/08 came back present for total coliform including the raw well water. He is temporarily installing the chlorinator to inject a small dose of chlorine into the system as a corrective action. He has posted the public notice as required and will be taking five additional routines in the month of Feb 2009. I also mentioned to him that the well was recently discovered to be inadequetley constructed. I encouraged the water system to address the well construction problems before adding disinfection, but mostl likely it’s a cost issue. Because of this discovery and the distance to the river from the well (~200ft) GWUDI monitoring will also be required. Russ Kazmierczak will send a letter informing system of GWUDI requirements. ACTION NEEDED: take five routines in Feb 2009, submit As plans as well as disinfection plans if that’s the path chosen. Start GWUDI monitoring. | ||
