| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive total coliform samples 11/20/08 DETAILS: 12/1/08 Called system regarding repeat positives problems over the past few months. Spoke to Joann because John is on vacation. I asked Joann if there was something that happened back in August or Sept. and she remembered that they replaced the pump in late August. She felt that it was poor sampling technique and I said it may have been that but an event like pump failure could be the issue. I suggested that they rechlorinate the system before testing again. I also suggested that they ensure adequate contact time and chlorinate the distribution system not just the well. They will need 5 temporary routine coliform samples before the end of December. ACTION NEEDED: system needs to solve continued coliform issues. I told her to call if she has any questions. Will continue to monitor. | ||
