Details:	SUMMARY: Inquiries regarding blue-green algae bloom DETAILS: Willy and I first spoke yesterday, as Casey Lyon was away at training, and I was on phone duty for the day. Theres a blue-green algae bloom again this year at Dexter Lake. Willy wanted to know if there are any Oregon labs available now to send the algae samples, and also wanted to see appropriate language from a Press Release. I sent him the 2008 info sheet Casey developed called "Algae Labs and Resources", a DHS Fact Sheet on B-G algae for water system operators, and a couple of press releases from blooms last year. Casey sent along more guidance after hours yesterday via email. I paraphrased that information (PWS options and recommendations) in an email to Willy this morning, attaching the Press Release for the current Dexter bloom. I also spoke to Willy again on the phone. With the lab being closed over the weekend, Willy has decided to take one raw and one treated water sample on Monday and send it off to the UC Davis lab for toxin analysis. ACTION NEEDED: Willy will let us know the toxin analysis results.
