Details:	SUMMARY: Arsenic in Source Well DETAILS: System owns and operates a community water system that serves a population of 75 people with 39 connections. The system source is a single well. The city operates a treatment system (water softener) to reduce iron and hardness. HBH was contacted by Bill Fujii with Water Resources regarding arsenic levels exceeding the MCL. HBH was subsequently contacted by DWP and the CWS to provide emergency assistance in determining the best course of action for the City to take to reduce arsenic levels. I attended the City Counsel meeting to provide advice regarding testing and potential options for treatment. In conjunction with Evan Hofeld (DWP), recommended chemical testing regime to best determine chemistry of well water. ACTION NEEDED: Assist with selection of proper treatment and/or operational options to achieve compliance with Arsenic MCL.
