| Details: | SUMMARY: Lab error resulted in missing May 2009 coliform sample DETAILS: Jim Hatcher called regarding a mix up with the sample bottles that resulted in their sample collected May 21st not being analyzed by the lab. Jim was asking what he is required to do in this case. I told him that the violation would be issued for non-reporting and to take a sample as soon as possible, although a June sample would not substitute for a missing May sample. I told him that the violation is a Tier 3 violation that would need to be reported in their Consumer Confidence Report for calendar year 2009. I advised that they sample early in the month so that they could have enough time to resample should it happen again. ACTION NEEDED: System to resume routine monthly sampling and report the violation in the 2009 CCR. | ||
