| Details: | SUMMARY: Discussed well construction and a bilateral compliance agreement DETAILS: I called Dan Ericksen to discuss the draft bilateral compliance agreement which I had emailed to the Wasco County Commissioners on 12/30/2009. Dan stated that the draft agreement had been reviewed, but that the previous source water well has been abandoned and is no longer connected to the water system. A new well has been drilled, but is having problems with silt, and has not yet been connected to the water system. Dan did not think that the public notice requirement and possibly the required disinfection in the draft agreement are applicable. Those activities were included specifically because of the previous source water well, and will probably be excluded from a new draft. Dan also stated that the new system will deliver water from the well into storage at a higher elevation, and then back into the distribution system. Dan stated that the commissioners will discuss the agreement on January 25, and then sign a final agreement on February 3 if we have have the agreement printed by that date. ACTION NEEDED: I will make changes to the draft agreement and email a copy to the county commissioners on 1/22/2010 for review and discussion at a meeting on 1/25/2010. We should then be able to print a final draft for signature by the commissioners on 2/3/2010. | ||
