| Details: | SUMMARY: Total coliform positive routine samples DETAILS: Philomath had two positive total coliform routine samples out of six on April 20, one at 1315 College St and one at 280 Neabeck Hill, both with adequate chlorine residual. Repeat samples were negative for all sites except for the resample of 280 Neabeck Hill, which was positive for total coliform. The seasonal well is not currently in operation, so a triggered source sample is not required. Because 280 Neabeck Hill was positive twice and all other repeats were negative, this sample site has been invalidated. Philomath will replace the site on its Coliform Sampling Plan with a site across the street and also sample this site to replace the invalid sample. I asked Kevin if he thought the power outage the day before could have anything to do with the positive samples and he said no because these sites would have received plenty of pressure during the 5-10 second outage. Philomath will take 5 samples in May. ACTION NEEDED: Await result of replacement routine sample. | ||
