Details:	SUMMARY: Nitrate Alert Response DETAILS: Received alert on 6/21/10 for nitrate result of 20 mg/l from sample collected 6/1/10. Contacted staff at Bellinger and let them know a public notice needed to be posted ASAP. Jack had the treatment system installer on site who discovered the motor that runs the regeneration process had failed. The motor has been replaced and public notice posted. A nitrate sample will be collected after the treatment system has run for a couple days. Discussed the one-time arsenic sample requirement. Owner is investigating connecting to the City of Hermiston water supply. ACTION NEEDED: PWS to submit public notice to DWP, collect follow up nitrate sample and arsenic sample.
