Details:	SUMMARY: Technical Assistance for Lead AL Exceedance DETAILS: System has exceeded lead levels in most recent sampling round (2009). DWP has requested the city submit a request for an extension to comply with action level. Jeff requested assistance from HBH for an action plan. I met with Jeff Houchin, CH2M Hill/OMI to develop an action plan to address lead issues. The plan proposes that the city have until 12/31/2010 to achieve compliance with 1st round of samples. The action plan consists of switching to soda ash by 7/31/10, collect samples from 4 highest sites by 10/31, collect 1st round of lead samples at 20 sites by 12/15 and submit informal plan review to DWP on the chemical exchange. I sent Jeff a summary of the discussion and he requested the extension via email to Amy Parmenter, DWP, and it was approved 6/29. I also researched where to find liquid soda ash as per Jeff’s request. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to monitor progress of action plan.
