| Details: | SUMMARY: Disccused civil penalty for lead and copper sampling DETAILS: I called Mike Brown to make sure he received the civil penalty order and that he knew he had options to request a hearing to argue his case, and possibly to settle for a reduced penalty if he did sample and can get the results submitted by October 10. Mike Brown said he did receive the civil penalty, and also that he received the sample results today. I told Mike that he can pay the penalty (or we would send it for collections), that he can request a hearing and go to the hearing, or that he can submit the samples and request a hearing and we can agree to settle for a reduced penalty (10% of the original), but only if we receive the lead and copper sample results by 10/10. He stated that he submitted the LOI for a SRF loan. I also asked him if he has heard from Chris Marko and he said no. I briefly explained that Chris Marko should be able to provide some assistance in organizing the billing and finances at Saginaw, which might be necessary for the system to receive a loan. ACTION NEEDED: Await request for hearing and lead/copper sampling results. Also, call Chris Marko and determine if rural assistance can help Saginaw. | ||
