| Details: | SUMMARY: Total coliform positive routine sample taken 11/18/10 DETAILS: Mike Green with the City of Wilsonville called to report that a routine coliform sample taken 11/18/10 at 7070 SW Arbor Lake Drive was total coliform positive, but absent of e-coli or fecal coliform. He said they took 3 repeat samples (1 upstream, 1 downstream and 1 at the original site) today (11/19/10) and were awaiting the results of those samples. I told him that it sounded like he had it covered and to call us back if the results of the repeat sampling showed the presence of coliform bacteria. He called back later to get further instruction and I explained that a total coliform positive repeat sample would be a Tier 2 violation of the total coliform MCL and that if any of the repeat samples came back e-coli or fecal positive that it would be a Tier 1 acute MCL violation. I explained how to find our after hours emergency number 1-800-452-0311 and public notice templates on-line at http://oregon.gov/DHS/ph/dwp/tools.shtml#mtable and recommended they review their emergency response plan for media contacts should they need to issue a Tier 1 public notice. ACTION NEEDED: System to contact DWP if the results of repeat sampling show the presence of coliform bacteria. | ||
