Details:	SUMMARY: Discussion of requirements for water system DETAILS: Discussed requirements for water system regarding shock chlorination of the well. The water system has experienced repeated total coliform positive events. Water systems recent response has been to shock chlorinate the well before the sampling takes place. Shock chlorination should only be completed after the confirmation of a coliform problem, not to prevent total coliform test results. ACTION NEEDED: Clackamas County should followup with water system to determine whether a monthly assessment for coliform is needed. Additionally, well construction (well log) should be evaluated by Tom Pattee of DWP-Springfield. The water system may consider having a lab take the coliform sample to help ensure that proper sampling techniques are taken and samples are not accidentally contaminated.
