| Details: | SUMMARY: Switching Primary Well Assistance DETAILS: HBH was contacted by Bill Goss with DWP to provide assistance for Sunridge Water Inc for installing bacteria sample taps. The system is served by two wells that feed into 2 large pressure tanks totaling 25,000 gallons. Water is chlorinated for residual prior to its distribution. There are 33 connections that serve 100 people. The existing primary well is getting close to the MCL on nitrates, the backup well is much larger that the primary well but is lower in nitrates. HBH discussed possible problems with switching to the backup well as the primary. The backup well has a 60 hp well pump that far out produces the systems needs during the winter months. Options such as VFD pumps to replace operating costs and prolong pump life. Contacts were given of the local utility company for possible rebates for reducing power consumption. The local utilities does offer rebates for reducing their power consumption and will work with Sunridge Water to produce a more energy efficient system. ACTION NEEDED: None needed at this time. | ||
