| Details: | SUMMARY: Concern re nearby e.coli contamination DETAILS: Chuck was concerned that e.coli was confirmed in a nearby public water system source and was wondering if there was anything that could be done to their wells that would avoid a similar outcome. A review of water system well logs indicates that although all three wells in question would be considered inadequately constructed according to current standards. However the shallow unconfined nature of the aquifer plays a larger role in allowing fecal contamination of the aquifer than well construction. Therefore, I did not recommend that the construction of the Mobilife wells be altered or that a new well be drilled. ACTION NEEDED: No further action needed | ||
