Details:	SUMMARY: Follow up on boil water notice DETAILS: Spoke with Phil regarding status of boil water notice at Midland. Phil verified that notice was pre-emptive and posted in anticipation of losing water pressure as the plant pump went down on 8/2 in the am. Pump replaced on 8/2 in pm, and pressure never dropped below 20 psi in system. Additionally, Phil verified that CTs were met at all times beginning went pump went down on 8/2. The lowest chlorine residual on 8/2 based on several grab samples taken at the plant was 0.8 mg/l, and CT achieved was around 70, with a CT required for 1-log giardia inactivation of around 40. Furthermore, residuals in the system taken at 3 points were 1 ppm today (8/3). ACTION NEEDED: Midland to notify users that boil water notice may be lifted through calling using a phone tree to all users. Phil to prepare a written summary of events related to losing pumping ability at the plant for DWP files. DWP to continue to support the Association.
