Details: SUMMARY: Discussed data related to the proposed UV system DETAILS: I spoke with Dion regarding data that the Program needs to issue conditional approval for the UV disinfection system. I told Dion that the Program needs verification that UV 254 transmittance will be at least 75% for water entering the new UV system when it is installed. I told Dion that we need this data before the Program can grant approval to proceed with construction. I mentioned that it could increase costs if the system is installed and changes subsequently need to be made due to poor transmitance. Dion also asked if a new cartridge filter would be better than adding the UV disinfection, and I told him an engineer would need to answer a question like that, but suggested that there will be advantages and disadvantages to both improvements. ACTION NEEDED: None
