Details: SUMMARY: Contact regarding positive coliform DETAILS: The owner has a new Maintenance Manager at the park who took a sample from a faucet with an aerator still on the unit. Results were positive and I failed to make phone contact with the owner for 3 days. The new manager picked up sample bottles at this office, 9/29/11 and repeats were not taken until 10/3/11 due to the lab being closed on Fridays. ACTION NEEDED: I spoke with maintenance manager and explained that the system needs a licensed operator for community systems. He said he was interested in getting certified. During conversation it was mentioned that the park was out of water some weeks past due to a line break. It was discussed that not much is known about the system but it is vital to the functioning of the system that data is collected to identify the components of the system in a Operations and Maintenance Manual. I also told Carlos Coutier that if the system runs out of water it is necessary to place a boil water notice on the system and contact our office, take a confirmation sample to assure the water is safe to drink. Sent information on a OAWU class to owner.
