| Details: | SUMMARY: Response to detects of EDB & PCE at well #6 DETAILS: Derrick and I spoke about detects below respective MCLs for EDB and PCE at well #6. Well inactive since December 2008. DWP has closed chemical monitoring schedules for inactive well as of Dec 2011, to reflect inactive status. We discussed that the City is free to continue any chemical monitoring of well #6. City to forward data to DWP, for data entry, but I indicated that compliance will not be determined for entry points with no active chemical schedules. We discussed, that if well #6 needed to be activated in an potential emergency, most recent running annual averages of most recent quarterly monitoring results for EDB and PCE respectively would determine compliance with the MCLs, and any public notice and treatment requirements. ACTION NEEDED: DWP to clarify monitoring implications for bringing on emergency well #6 in upcoming water system survey, presumed to be in 2012. City to communicate with DWP in advance if well #6 to be activated. | ||
