Details: SUMMARY: Public notice DETAILS: I received a call from James Nusrala regarding the 1/30/12 Ethylene Dibromide (EDB) results of 0.00012mg/L which is twice the MCL of .00005mg/L. The Drinking Water Rules will require the posting of a Tier 2 notice by February 15th to inform all users of the current exposure to EDB beyond the MCL. The Tier 2 Notice must have a copy sent to the Drinking Water Program (DWP) within 10 days of issuing the notice. The notice will need to be posted until all major changes have gone through plan review, been approved and installed. Please review the notice template, post it by February 15 then sending a copy to the DWP. A written Corrective Action Plan to return the system to compliance will need to be sent to the Dept of Agriculture by May 1, 2012 at the latest. I appreciate your cooperation in posting the notice e to maintain the current level of compliance. ACTION NEEDED: Post public notice at all drinking water access sites, listing the exceedence values for EDB, health issuers and the time frames regarding the sample results by February 15, 2012
