Details: SUMMARY: Loss of system pressure boil water notice DETAILS: As of Monday April 2, Drift Creek Landing (92038) is under a boil water notice for loss of system pressure due failure of the well pump. The emergency spring source is currently online. While the distribution is now pressurized, results from coliform samples collected at the spring source (on 04/04) and in the distribution (on 04/03) are not yet available. Furthermore, additional investigation revealed an untreated surface water source was likely in use until discovered on 03/29. The boil water notice will remain in effect until: 1) all active (approved) water sources are clearly identified and demonstrated to be E. coli absent, 2) Distribution sampling is total coliform negative and, 3) Comprehensive flushing of the distribution with approved source water is conducted to eliminate water originating from the unapproved surface source. ACTION NEEDED: Source verification, additional sampling and distribution flushing
