Details: SUMMARY: 5 repeats positive for coliform DETAILS: Phoned contact confirming that these samples were taken after they hired someone to shock the well and distribution system. This is the third round of samples positive for coliform but none was positive for Ecoli Thinks maybe the well was damaged during some of the mudslides that happened in the area last winter. They have no evidence of disruption in distribution system. He indicated that hotel was open for business. ACTION NEEDED: 5/18/12 Consultation with Daniel Hough recommendations with operator: shock again and do another round of testing to check for improvement, sent him link to state instructions for shocking systems. Operator reiterated that public notice was still posted at facility though not in individual rooms but they were offering bottled water to all guests he said theyd sent a copy of the notice to state and to us. I reminded him that a round of four more tests needs to be done in June. State will consider whether to bump them up to monthly source assessment monitoring. Operator stated they had not made any modifications to components in the system. He did say that a faulty well seal noted on two surveys had been replaced several years ago. A black 1400 gallon poly tank pictured in our records is not in use and the system no longer supplies a store
