| Details: | SUMMARY: TC+ routine sample taken 7/18/12 DETAILS: I received a call from Joe Kephart regarding a total coliform positive sample taken 7/18/12 at the new crew lunch room faucet. He said that the Dalles lab was closed and was wondering if he could take repeat samples on Monday. Although our rules require coliform resampling within 24 hrs of receiving results of a coliform detection, even if it is on a Friday, we do make allowances for taking repeat samples on Monday due to circumstances such as limited lab availability. Since this is the case for I explained that taking the repeat samples on Monday is allowed, however, he should notify employees that a total colform postive sample was detected and that repeat sample results will not be available until Tuesday. I explained that 4 repeat samples would need to be taken, one of which should be taken a the well as a triggered sample under the GWR and that 5 temporary routine samples would be needed next month. He said that they will take 5 repeat samples on Monday (July 23rd) to capture 2 wells in use and would post notification at all pertinent locations. ACTION NEEDED: System to notify employees of total coliform routine sample and to take repeat samples on Monday. | ||
