Details: SUMMARY: Routine quarterly sample coliform positive DETAILS: Received voice mail on 8/17/12 from Dorothy Brinkehhoff of Alpine Pump that the quarterly for Alpine returned positive. They felt that the sample bottle might have been contaminated and wanted to know if the sample could be waived. I later spoke to Gary Watts of Alpine Pump who collects samples for the water system and he said the sample bottle has a seal but the cap was loose. I explained that it would be difficult to prove and that they needed to more forward with repeat samples. I sent an e-mail explaining the process of four repeat samples in the distribution system and a triggered source sample. The system is chlorinated. I also explained the need to collect five temporary routine distribution samples in September. The repeat samples were taken and all returned absent. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for results of September samples.
