| Details: | SUMMARY: CT Tracer Study DETAILS: The city of Vernonia has a surface water treatment plant which pulls water from Rock Creek. The surface water is treated with rapid sand filters with flocculation along with soda ash and chlorine is used to treat the water. The plant is able to produce as much as 700 gpm, with 900 gpm being delivered before the water is sent to the distribution system (and first user). Chlorine contact is achevied in an apprioimately 30,000 gallon clearwell before the water is sent to the distribution system (and first user). HHB was contacted by the City to provide assistance with a contact tracer study. A previous effort was made at a contact tracer study, but operational changes were needed for a successful test. HBH visited water treatment plant to verify methodology for tracer study. ACTION NEEDED: Complete data collection and Tracer Study. | ||
