| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive Ecoli for Peterson springs DETAILS: 1 positive E Coli & 1 positve TC in systems annual Source Water Assessement at Peterson Springs. No detect in distribution system sample.Talked with Calvin, system alternates between Peterson and Knappa Springs. System on Knappa Springs water as of this morning. Calvin unsure of reason for positive in Peterson Springs given it has gone through the reconstruction work. High rains this week could have caused surface water intrusion.Chlorine residual at first user ( next to the chlorination building) runs .80-.86 ppm. ACTION NEEDED: . Instructed Calvin to take 5 source water TC confirmation samples within 24 hours. He will then shock chlorinate the spring box and distribution line. Knappa Springs to be used soley until tests come back.2. I calculated CT based on worse case scenarios of for Peterson Springs water to determine if a Tier 1 boil water notice could be required.Water volume: (100,000 tank + 1,500 distribution line) 101,500 gallonsNon metered Flow rate: per Calvin system can go through 70,000-78,000 within a day at peak times. 78,000 in 16 hours =81gpm.
