Details: SUMMARY: Follow up on 11/19 routine E. coli positve sample DETAILS: Spoke to Denise (park owner) at 10 a after being referred to her by Dave Coverstone at the park. I reiterated the acute public health concern due to the initial routine E. coli positive sample collected on 11/19, and that prompt follow up by the park is necessary (taking 3 repeat samples and triggered source samples at all active wells within 24 hours after report of positvie sample from lab). She indicated that conversation occurred between herself, her husband and the lab from 11/21 through today regarding follow up samples, but that none had been taken. I was then called by Mark Lead of Pyxis (503)254-1794, indicating that Pyxis would collect the required samples today, with samples back at the lab by 5 pm. Denise had indicated only well #2 is in use at this time. I worked closely with Columbia County Public Health in communicating together to the water system. ACTION NEEDED: System/lab to collect repeats/source sample on 11/29. DWS to support county in determining next steps upon receipt of results. Mark indicated lab would leave 10 extra sample bottles with park to have on hand for future sampling.
