| Details: | SUMMARY: Repeat samples positive Ecoli DETAILS: Confirmed they distributed Tier 1 notice and sent copy to state. They are supplying bottled water to all residents. Five more source samples are now due. Paid a site visit and Steve had reported he was having trouble using the chlorine test kit. He will take five more source samples on 12/28. Reviewed sampling technique and test kit use. Steve mentioned he wasnt having to refill the chlorinator reservoir very often. We tested no measurable chlorine from eh nearest treated tap using his kit and mine. Most of the bleach in the chlorinator is now3 several months old because of the low draw tare. Suggested treated water may sit there long enough for chlorine to dissipate especially in the slow season. We upped the feed rate on the chlorinator and within about 30 minuets were able to get a residual of about .5. Operator will continue to check residual. ACTION NEEDED: Recommended the reservoirs should be fully drained and cleaned out. Also that a sample tap be installed at the wellhead and that a valve between the two reservoirs be installed to enable one to be used at a time | ||
