Details: SUMMARY: Incorporation of remaining Oak Grove users - approval to lift boil water notice DETAILS: Mark indicated that the remaining users in the upper portion of Oak Grove Water Company (#00388) in the upper Binns Hill Road and Kingsley Road areas, are being supplied entirely by Ice Fountain. A new pump has been installed, Oak Groves 100,000 gallon reservoir has been inspected and shock chlorinated. Area has been flushed, adequate pressure and chlorine residuals have been verified and 3 coliform samples have returned coliform absent. The Oak Grove springbox outlet to this service area has been capped, the ball valve inside the box closed and a pressure differential has been observed across the ball valve. Consequently, DWS in consultation with Hood River County, has authorized that the boil water notice may be lifted for the remainder of the former Oak Grove service area - now incorporated by Ice Fountain. DWS will require verification of documentation of physical separation of the spring box from the service area by Aug 15th. ACTION NEEDED: Ice Fountain to notify remaining former Oak Grove users by phone that boil water notice is lifted. Ice Fountain to provide verification of physical separation of springbox from all users by August 15th to both DWS and the County. District to take 2 coliform samples in upper service area with early August sampling and forward results of July coliform sampling in upper service area to DWS so the agreement activities in the Bilateral Compliance Agreement for Oak Grove may be addressed. DWS to adjust Ice Fountains population and connection numbers to include the incorporation of the entire former Oak Grove user base, and note that the Oak Grove spring repair project (Plan Review # 164-2012) will be abandoned.
