Details:	SUMMARY: Follow up on August total coliform MCL DETAILS: Mike called me to discuss the recent 5 point violation for Mayfair on data on-line. I clarified that the 5-point violation is for the August total coliform MCL, and not for a failure to send public notice DWS, as we had received notice on 8/22. I explained that violation would automatically return to compliance with two consecutive months (Sept and Oct) with no coliform MCL or monitoring & reporting violations. Arsenic media regeneration had occurred right before positives, and samples at well and after carbon unit/before Ar media tanks were coliform absent, and system feels regeneration caused problem. We discussed the carbon unit as a potential source of contamination, but since samples after carbon unit were absent, Mike feels it is not the source. ACTION NEEDED: System to take one routine coliform sample for October and submit to DWS by Nov 10, to return MCL to compliance. DWS to continue to research potential link between Ar media regeneration and coliform positives and forward any info to system and County. DWS to support County in providing oversight to system.
