Details: SUMMARY: Steve Summers DETAILS: Dear Steve:I just received your water results and wanted to follow-up in writing since I will be out of the office. The following is your required testing and documentation schedule:1. Ground water rule violation requires: (marked as triggered) 2 Triggered sample(s) to be taken and reported 10/10/2013 - 10/25/2013 1 at SRC-AA - WELL #1 2. Total Coliform Rule violation requires: (marked as temporary routine) 5 temporary routine samples from the distribution system in the month of November.3. Issue the enclosed Public Notice and send me a copy.I have talked to Gregg Baird at the State and he had a few suggestions that might help in your situation.1. Completely flush the system, sometimes stale waters will cause this ongoing problem. Open any hydrants to do so, I honestly can’t remember if you have blow offs or hydrants. If not encourage everyone to turn on the water outside, so not to overload onsite sewage systems and keep them running for a length of time. If you choose to do this, I would encourage you to take one sample to see if the method worked.2. Super chlorinate the reservoirs, Gregg suggest this to be done after trying the flushing steps.3. Inspect all areas for water leaks which could very well be your problem.4. Inspect areas with underground sprinkler systems to ensure they are not causing problems with your distribution system.Again, I would encourage you to consider residual maintenance for the system with the addition to a small amount of chlorine. We have discussed this possibility and as you know that would require plan review.I hope you find this helpful, as always feel free to call me if you have any questions (503 588-5126 ACTION NEEDED: none
