| Details: | SUMMARY: Total Coliform Positive Source Confirmation Samples Taken 9-20-13 DETAILS: An annual source assessment sample taken on 9-18-13 at the Howell spring source (SRC-AD) was positive for E. coli. This prompted confirmation sampling for the spring. 4 of 5 source confirmation samples taken 9-20-13 at SRC-AD were total coliform positive. Under the Groundwater Rule, these results do not confirm the presence of E. coli. A routine distribution sample taken at 323 Reservoir Rd and 1 of the source confirmation samples were both absent of coliform bacteria. I spoke to Daniel Willyard following the total coliform positive source confirmation samples taken 9-20-13 and let him know that no further monitoring requirements are triggered and asked him if he knew the cause of the positive samples. He said that there was no visible evidence of anything that would have caused the positive results. ACTION NEEDED: System will need to report detections in the Consumer Confidence Report for Calendar Year 2013. | ||
