| Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up on EDB detect - well 5 and well 8 phthalate schedule DETAILS: Spoke with Derrick about the following SOC issues: 1. Ethylene Dibromide (EDB) detect at 0.00002 mg/L (MCL is 0.00005 mg/L) at well 5 (entry point F). System is on annual monitoring at EP-F with well #5 contributing only for EDB, and the levels continue to be reliably and consistently below MCL so continue on annual monitoring. James and Derrick discussed potential source of detectable levels at well 5. 2. System has two quarters of non-detect Di 2-ehthyl hexyl phthalate samples (3rd and 4th quarter 2013) at EP-D (well #8), so schedule can be reduced to annual during 4th quarter (quarter with the detect). ACTION NEEDED: 1.) City to continue on annual monitoring for EDB at well #5 (EP-F, well #5 contributing only) during 4th quarter for as long as we see detectable levels - next sample in 2014. 2.) City is reduced to once annually during 4th quarter for phthalate, next in 2014. Phthalate can be reduced to once every 3 years after 3 rounds of non-detect results. | ||
