Details: SUMMARY: Follow up for Bis 2-ehtylhexyl)- phthalate DETAILS: I have reviewed the QC report and found that Bis-2 was detected in the method blank below the reporting limit, this detection is shown in the spk ref value in the QC summary report. Based on the Contract Laboratory Program national Functional Guidelines for Organic Data Review (CLPNFG) you do not consider it detected unless it exceeds 5 times the concentration in the blank, Risk Assessment Guidance for Superfund (RAGS) is 10 times the method blank for common laboratory contaminants. Bis-2 is considered a common lab contaminant. The value that was listed in the spk ref value was 0.00039 ppm, 10 would be 0.0039 ppm, and 5 would be 0.00195 ppm. The detection at 0.000770 ppm would then be considered non detect by either method you used to interpret it. ACTION NEEDED: None.
