Details: SUMMARY: Total coliform positive DETAILS: Received call from Gene on Thursday July 24th of a total coliform positive on July 23rd at Middle Sundance site. Repeat and triggered source samples were being collected. Wells that were active at the time of the positive samples were:

  • DRW #1 (SRC-IA)
  • Sundance (SRC-EA)
  • China Hat #2 (SRC-AB)
  • Parrel Road (SRC-HA)
  • Riverbend #1 (SRC-BA)
  • Roats Well #10 (#00113) (SRC-CA)

Avion has an active intertie with Roats Water System therefore a triggered source sample was also collected along with the Avion wells.

Received call from Gene Friday July 25th of two repeat coliform positive samples collected on the 24th. All wells were absent. Discussed the MCL violation, 30-day public notice requirements, additional repeat sampling and option of demonstration sampling evaluating the coliform issue. Gene was planning to conduct additional sampling and flushing. He noted the issue appears to be isolated to the Sundance area.

ACTION NEEDED: Discuss outcome of coliform monitoring at the end of the month.
