Details: SUMMARY: Arsenic at 0.0351 mg/L DETAILS: I discussed the alert for Arsenic above MCL of 0.010 mg/L with DWP staff Fred Kalish and Scott Curry. After discussion with Fred Kalish it was determined that public notice would not be needed at soda fountain for general public due to nature of result (chronic exposure) or addressed in washing produce. After discussion with Scott Curry, it was determined that firm is not required to conduct plan review for Wellsys treatment system installed due to employees only consuming water, classification of system (TNC) and no basis in OARs for requiring in this situation.Information was relayed to manager of store and public notice will be posted in employee break room directing employees to this filtered (RO) water for consumption. Evidence of public notice, copy and picture of it posted, will be sent to my email inbox per agreement with store manager. Public notice will stay in effectfor employees of Rays Food Place alerting them to health effects of chronic exposure to Arsenic in drinking water. I suggested that manager conduct test of filtered water for Arsenic levels and to follow manufacturers maintenance recommendations for filtration system. ACTION NEEDED: Ensure evidence of public notice is sent to email inbox.
