Details: SUMMARY: lead and copper action level exceedance DETAILS: System had a copper exceedance September 2014 and is required to pursue corrosion control treatment. Systems can continue to monitor at the routine number of sites and if able to achieve two 6-month rounds of sampling with no exceedances, installation of treatment may be postponed. Samples collected at 10 sites in June 2015 as part of the first 6-month round exceeded the 90th percentile for both lead and copper. Advised Scott Arlin of Timber Water this date that as a result of this, system should refocus their efforts on determining the appropriate corrosion control treatment to install. I referred him to my 12-15-14 letter for next steps to take. ACTION NEEDED: Need water quality parameters testing at the entry point and in the distribution system (asap and again 2 weeks after). Need to test for lead and copper at the entry point. Need to use WQP data to determine what best corrosion control treatment is to install. Continued 6-month round lead and copper monitoring is optional.
