| Details: | SUMMARY: potential pressure loss DETAILS: Adam called to let us know that they had a main line break at 1 am today. They have isolated the break and activated their emergency intertie with Newport, which can feed most of the system. The break is under highway 101, so there is a time lag when they can do the repair. Currently there is still pressure in the system, but if they have to cut and repair the pipe, about 20 customers will be out of water. They have prepared a localized boil water advisory just in case. ACTION NEEDED: Adam will let us know if they lose pressure. If so, we discussed procedures of restoring pressure, flushing, and collecting a bacti sample. When the sample result(s) is absent of bacteria, the boil advisory can be lifted. | ||
