| Details: | SUMMARY: better contact information, clarified communications about public notice requirements DETAILS: Steve phoned after receiving the email I sent to their DRC, Ray Doan, hoping it would get to him. (Steves phone was not recording messages, and I had no email for him.) I clarified with Steve that I had emailed the public notice templates just so that Garden Valley would understand the requirements (for language and distribution) if any of those treatment violation situations were to arise. It doesn’t sound like they hit any of those violation thresholds in December, and they took precautionary measures anyway, which is fine. But if they did have a violation of the treatment standards, they would need to have the required elements and delivery methods when notifying their consumers. A "heads up" phone call to residents is good, but does not alone meet public notice requirements for public drinking water systems.
