Details: SUMMARY: Disinfection Byproduct Sampling Location DETAILS: Bill notified me that the Districts current compliance DBP sampling point, 6130 SW Thomas St, is a Portland Water Bureau customer. Water travells through Valley Views entry point and distribution, but the property is billed by PWB. As the District needs to sample water representative of what is served to their customers, District needs to identify an alternate sample location. After reviewing Districts service map, District to collect three samples for both TTHM and HAA5 during this August, peak month, all representative of longest retention time: at 6130 SW Thomas, at a Valley View customer across the street, and at a sample station near 64th Place and Laber Ct to compare relative values. If new sample locations levels are similar to the historically low Thomas location, District may change compliance location to dedicated sample station. If new location levels higher, District to consult with Multnomah County about next steps. ACTION NEEDED: District to collect three dual sample sets this August, with one satisfying current 2016 requirement. District to consult with Multnomah County after results received to discuss next steps. DWS to provide support.
