Details: SUMMARY: RESERVOIR LEAK REPAIR DETAILS: The Bolder City Water System is a small water system in rural Jackson County which provides water to a population of 60 persons, through 21 connections. Bolder City has a 2-well system with a small reservoir. Chlorination is provided by a sodium hypochlorite system for residual maintenance. The Circuit Rider was contacted by Charlotte Knott to provide assistance with leak repair for the small reservoir. The reservoir was leaking at the bottom seam. Charlotte had purchased some leak repair material and wanted to verify that it would be OK to use. Reviewed the leak stop material purchased by the water system. This material was NSF approved for use in water systems. However, the material does not have a good reputation for long term repair use. ACTION NEEDED: If needed, make recommendations for a better material to use for the leak repair.
