Details: SUMMARY: 4th Quarter Routine Coliform is Positive for TC DETAILS: Kim spoke with operator on 11/30. Operator relayed to her that he was requesting help from the Circuit Rider because of on-going TC positives. The system has done Level 1 and Level 2 (with Kim - EH staff) investigations. System has been shocked, and checked for any problems. Unable to determine source of TC. However, Level 2 Investigation notes corroded well casing, might be influenced by surface water if casing deteriorated. Kim recommended camera shot inside of well to see if casing is compromised. Operator states he is not going to waste any more money on coliform tests until he gets some help. He also had communicated this (wanting Circuit Rider help) with DWS (Jay and Rebecca) in Springfield. ACTION NEEDED: I advised him that Circuit Rider services are up for bid and currently there isnt a firm with a contract for these services. This should be remedied soon and I would advise him of a contact when available. System is to be doing monthly monitoring. May want to consider plan reviewing a chlorination system to maintain residual in distribution.
