| Details: | SUMMARY: Source Confirmation Samples E.coli+ DETAILS: Five of the samples came back coliform positive with one being E.coli positive as well. Tony Church with Pier Point said he looked to see if any temporary sources of contamination could be possible and did not find anything out of the ordinary. The water system is an old spring located somewhere along the hillside by the hotel and it is piped into two cisterns that were installed in 1974. No one knows where the spring source location is exactly. The system practices chlorination at high levels normally from 1.0 to 2.0 and they also record it daily. Phebe Howe did a contact time calculation that shows the system only needs to maintin a 0.2 ppm to achieve 4-log disinfection in the water system. No boil water notice needs to be issued, system is performing interim 4-log disinfection. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for corrective action based on a source assessment. | ||
